Kell also works in oil painting and pastels. We can see these influences in her photographic imagery, her subjects often look like they have been painted with light.

Storytelling was always in her blood, and in recent years this has evolved successfully into moving image. In 2017 she was nominated for a British Arrows award for her film for Harvey Nichols – The 100 Year Old Woman, which documents the truly inspiring Bo Gilbert modeling for the pages of Vogue.
